This is how “things that are not pie” begins.
It’s a story, and an experience, and that deep internal craving for the thing you cannot name but sometimes you can name it and sometimes you want pie and there is no pie.
It may not make sense at first. Or ever. Or only make sense to a handful of people who think about things in very different ways. And that’s okay. Sometimes the pie is the experience. Sometimes pie is just pie.
